Lego announces five new Mandalorian sets
Lego has unveiled five new Star Wars sets based on The Mandalorian, timed for the upcoming The Mandalorian & Grogu movie. The sets, aimed at younger builders, will be available in stores starting in April, with pre-orders live now for most.
The collection includes a new Razor Crest, a New Republic X-Wing, an AT-RT playset, an Anzellan Starship, and a BrickHeadz figure set. All sets except the BrickHeadz are available for pre-order immediately through Lego.
AT-RT Attack is the smallest set
The AT-RT Attack is the smallest and most affordable of the new lineup at just 297 pieces. It features The Mandalorian and Grogu on an All-Terrain Recon Transport (AT-RT) and a Stormtrooper manning a defensive turret tower.
The set is designed for play, with a tower that opens to reveal storage and an AT-RT with poseable limbs and working blasters. It is clearly targeted at children new to the Lego Star Wars ecosystem.
Anzellan Starship is a brand-new design
The Anzellan Starship is a completely new ship making its debut ahead of the movie. The 701-piece set is a notable departure from the frequent re-releases in the theme.
Its design includes a cockpit and a workshop area revealed by lifting a roof panel. The set does not include standard minifigures, but comes with a Grogu figure and two small Anzellan figures instead.
New Republic X-Wing Starfighter returns
This 558-piece New Republic X-Wing Starfighter is a mid-sized playset, measuring 12 inches long. It includes minifigures of Colonel Ward and Carson Teva, plus an Astromech droid.
Key play features include:
- A retractable landing gear
- A button to flip wings into attack position
- Working stud shooters
- An opening cockpit
With an age rating of 9+, it is squarely aimed at interactive play.
The Razor Crest is the flagship set
The largest and most expensive set of this wave is a new version of the iconic Razor Crest. It features distinctive yellow accents and measures 12.5 by 9.5 inches.
It includes five minifigures: The Mandalorian, Grogu, a Stormtrooper, Colonel Ward, and Zeb Orrelios. The set is highly interactive, with an removable cockpit canopy, opening side panels to reveal engine and cargo bays, and stud shooters.
BrickHeadz set offers display-focused value
The Mandalorian and Grogu: Allies & Villains BrickHeadz set packages 661 pieces for $39.99. It includes brick-built figures of The Mandalorian, Grogu, Colonel Ward, an Imperial Remnant Snowtrooper, and an Anzellan.
Like other BrickHeadz, these are designed for display rather than play, similar to collectibles like Funko Pop figures. The set will be available for pre-order starting April 1st.
